This auction is for a 1932 LOS ANGELES OLYMPICS poster card from the 2000 AUSTRALIAN OLYMPIC SERIES. These cards were produced for the 2000 SYDNEY OLYMPICS and sold with the purchase of a morning newspaper. I think they were sold for $1 but are becoming very collectable. There were intended to be purchased and put in a book that could also be purchased in the run up to the 2000 Sydney Olympics. Each card had a self adhesive back that has a plastic strip over it so it doesn't have to be used ( see third photo.) This adhesive area under the plastic strip is great if you are wanting to stick the card to something or put it in a frame and the adhesive strip will hold it there. I have more of these cards for sale on ebay for other olympic years.
