This auction is for a most elegant solid hallmarked silver footed sugar/sweet bowl dating to the reign of George III.
The beautiful solid Sterling silver bowl is clearly hallmarked for London 1801 (lion passant, crowned leopard's head, 'F ' and head of George III ) There is a maker's mark of E dot F into a rectangle. The marks for Edward Fernell and Edward Farrell are very similar and it could be for either of these makers (a late piece for Fernell or an early piece for Farrell). Please see photos.

The silver bowl is in excellent antique condition with no splits, holes, repairs etc, and with good clear hallmarks.
The bowl measures 13 cm (5 1/8 inches) wide and 6.5 cm (2 1/2 inches) deep. It weighs 169g.
A very low start with no reserve.
Please also see our other silver listed as we are happy to wrap multiple purchases together, where feasible, to make postage as economical as possible.
