For sale in this LOT is a highly collectable and rare Folk-art hand carved wooden puppet head, German in Origin. These heads were sourced from Germany and would have originally sat on a collection of theatre puppets. They have been waxed and mounted on a bespoke cast metal stand for display purpose. A highly decorative and collectable complete set, There is visibility of old paint which would have originally covered the heads many years ago. Each head is made from a soft wood and very detailed in shape and form. They would have been made by the puppeteer and have a very primitive and folk art appearance as shown in the photos provided. A highly collectible German Theatre artefact in overall wonderful decorative condition in our store.

Size: H 6” x W 3” x D 3.5” to H 4” x W 2” x D 2.5”

Condition: These items are dated early 20th Century so expect natural wear in the form of loss of surface paint, discoloring of certain sections, aged surface, and light scratches and patina. The items are all in overall wonderful condition and structurally secure for their age and previous use. Please view all the photos provided as part of this advert before a purchase is made.
