Item:233117467336A wonderful early 19c mahogany bracket clock dating to C1835/1840. The 8 day twin fusee movement on chains is very clean and obviously been very well looked after. It has shaped shoulders and strikes the hours on a coiled gong and in excellent working order and has its original "London" style regulation pendulum . The actual pendulum holdfast screw is missing but very simple to replace and the bridge holder is there.. The side viewing windows have thick bevelled glass and glazed back door. It has both locks but only one key for the back door. The bezel is the original cast brass and correct steel blued hands. The case is in amazing original condition with fabulous patina to the flame mahogany with matching patina. There is only a very old repair to the front [shrinkage crack] but looks to have been done many years ago and properly as its not really noticeable and aged well. There are no other splits or damage and all carved decoration is complete. Measuring 17.5 inches high[44.5cm] x 13.5 ins wide[35cm] x 7 ins deep[18cm]. An impressive English bracket clock dating from William 1V period in wonderful original condition and excellent working order complete with pendulum, back door lock, and winding key.
