AMAZING and RARE Repousse Germany Silver Tray. 

Beautiful Cherub and Floral Repousse Tray.

Marked Crescent Moon, Crown, 800, Standing Lion, and BZ for Bucholz & Zelt.  New York Importers of fine silver in the mid to late 1800s. As it is missing the word "Germany", it is confirmed below that it dates pre 1890.

Bucholz & Zelt - New York An American importer of Hanau Silver, located at 22 W 48th Str, New York identified by the mark B&Z. According to McKinley Tarif Act of 1890 the importer added to world "GERMANY" next to German hallmark "Crescent and Crown". Import by B&Z (many by JD Schleissner & Sohne) began probably before 1890 as some pieces are missing of the world "GERMANY".

Hand made, this vintage tray is solid and heavy at about 29 oz or 820 grams and large enough for small tea sets or a centerpiece for bread or fruit at 14+" Diameter.  All weights and sizes are also shown in pictures.

100% 800 Continental Silver, large and heavy. This has lasted, and will continue to last generations!
