A Rare Antique Chinese Porcelain 'Powder Blue and Copper Red' Plate or Dish. c. early 18th Century, Kangxi Period, Qing Dynasty. A lovely type of Kangxi porcelain and less commonly seen. The design with two fan-shaped panels reserved against a spattered powder blue ground. Each panel depicting floral and landscape scenes, freely painted in blue and copper red.  The painting is loose and spontaneous...in particular the lake, with boat and leaning pagoda.  The underside with snail or conch symbol contained within concentric rings. All in all, very charming. Please be sure to click on my other auctions currently running on ebay - a good mixture of interesting items all from deceased estates and house clearances. Genuine bidders only please - thanks for your understanding. Dimensions: Approx 22.5 cms diameter. Condition: With faults. Two old areas of repair to the rim edge - (rim edge broken away and reglued). A further small chip to the rim edge and associated hairline crack. The face of the dish is good and is not suffering too much surface wear. The foot ring with small losses. Inside the foot, there is a word written in an indelible type ink and also a pale tea-coloured haze, all over, as clearly shown. This haze ISN'T old discoloured restoration but colouring of a different kind. It may or may not be removable.
