A very unique Mid 20th Century Kangxi Marked Dragon Teapot with a surreal twist in manner of its shape.It is handmade porcelains such  as  this one that were made to please the Emperors or high ranking members of the court.As kiln masters out for recognition sought to fill their collections with the most unique compared to standard exports of the day.The shape of this Teapot is in 3d formation and very much something not seen on the average in todays market.According to gotheborg the mark matches that of their example 1376.Mark:Kangxi Nian Zhi- "Kangxi Period Make" Date Mid 20th Century Before 1975 and then probably also before the Cultural Revolution (1965-75).The only difference is there is no Ribbon surrounding the mark but comparing the two the mark is very similar.Many sacred symbols are depicted the dragon,flaming pearl and more but no matter what from the creamy porcelain to all of the decorations the SHAPE stands out most to the viewer.Its like looking at a multi rubiks cube as triangles or edges peek from every corner what perfect decor this is or a great conversational wonder for sure.The measurements are as follows H- 9" x W- 7" there is some paint loss for example a cloud or two on the spout show paint wear.This is depicted in close up photos there may be some scratches but no major damage at all amazing in every way.Looking at the exterior there appears to be no chips or cracks we ask that you use the ebay zoom feature by hovering over the picture to get full insight on condition once again overall great.
