Seller: baron-redbed (1.787) 100%, Location: Newport, Ships to: Worldwide, Item: 153629389612 Vintage / antiqueVictorian roof tile fragmentManufactured in Broseley TelfordProbably dates from the late 1800s This tile fragment was found when my son, daughter and I went for a walk along the banks of the River Severn in Ironbridge about 8 years ago. It has been mislaid in the garage, but found again. It is actually being listed to settle a bet! My daughter (aged about 10 at the time) said the tile might sell on Ebay for the price of a McDonald's milkshake. I said I was sure it would not. Currently a McD's medium 'shake retails at £1.59. So, if the tile sells for £1.60 or more I will owe the kids a milkshake each! I have tried to find information / images of this specific type of tile, but drawn a blank so far. I believe it is a roof rather than a floor / wall tile. For more information, see websites relating to Broseley and mining - I can;t post direct links, as they just get removed. Thanks to Pippa for pointing out that the tile may be manufactured at Ladywood. Condition: USED! Chipped / broken corners - see photos Colour: Blue, Type: Moulded Tile, Style: ridge, Features: Reclaimed
