The AstroTrac TT320X-AG is an incredibly light weight, very well made tangent mount. It can track for about 2 hours before needing to be reset. When broken down, the main unit and legs all fit inside the pier, which then goes into the bag. This can easily be carried around, posted or checked-in on a flight. The wedge can even be left attached and the top plate flipped over to store the wedge inside the pier as well. There is a lot of flexibility with this set-up. For light weight setups, you can use the main unit with a photography tripod. Attach a camera and lens via ball-head to keep everything light and compact. The wedge and pier are suitable for heavier set-ups. The pier is cleverly designed and surprisingly light. It is very, very sturdy. The use of wedge, pier, and the TH3010 head provides a surprisingly high load capacity. I've used this set-up with a Borg 125SD. An FSQ-85ED or similar set-up is no problem at all. Tracking is very smooth. In addition, the pier top mount plate has a hole in the centre. You can use a 3/8 bolt to attach anything you'd like. For one example, I've shown the TH3010 head with a Borg90FL set up in alt-azimuth mode. Another example is the Kenko wedge with a Questar for another equatorial mode option. This setup is very light and can easily be held with one arm and moved around. Probably one of the cleverest design of mount ever made. Great for eclipse chasing. I used to do astrophotography on holidays with either this set-up or my Kenko SkyMemo-R to minimise the carry-on and check-in baggage overhead on flights.
