Ariocarpus retusus
This plant is native to Mexico, widely distributed from north of Saltillo, Coahuila south to San Luis Potosi, Also found in Tamaulipas, Zacatecas and Nuevo Leon. This seed grown plant is shown in a 6” pot. The plant is 18 years old, sown in 1999. This is the actual plant that you will receive. These plants form a big taproot, so re-pot it into a deep pot. The plant grows best in part shade to full sun. Water the plant lightly in the summer but let it dry out during the winter. The flower color is white.

We can provide Phtyosanitary certificates at buyers request. The cost starts at $60.00. The certificate process can delay shipment. Keep in mind that this certificate is not for CITES plants.
We do ship internationally. Please be aware of your countries customs laws about importing plants. Buyer is responsible for any and all import documents. We ship First Class International to most countries, unless order amounts to over $250.00, then we require Priority Mail shipping with full tracking. Some countries shipping will be EMS Priority Mail International or USPS EMS Priority Express International only.
For cold weather shipping, we offer 72 hour heat packs. Please let us know if you want one added on to your order or you can purchase one directly from our store. Keep in mind that they can affect the total weight of your box/shipping cost.

We only use our own photos that we have personally shot, we do not use photos taken from the internet. Flower photos and mature specimen reference photos are from our own plants in our nursery, or in some cases from other sources (Habitat, Botanical Gardens, etc.) but they are always photos that we have personally taken.
We take great pride in providing the highest quality photos we can. We use professional photo studio lights and a DSLR camera to display the plants as accurately as possible with the correct colors and textures.
