Arcticum Lappa - Burdock 'Takinogawa' Medicinal Plant 40 Seeds A tall weedy plant, growing to around 2m tall, with large leaves which are hairy on the underside. The flowers are purple and grouped together, and form burrs which attach themselves to animals and clothing allowing the plant to propagate itself over long distances. Burdock is excellent for treating a wide range of skin problems, including eczema, acne, boils, psoriasis, and styes. As well as being a medicinal herb, the young leaf stalks can be cooked and used in the same way as celery. The roots can be used raw in salads, cooked like carrots or added to stir-fries.
