MUELLER, Richard Alexander (1850 - 1915).  Evening mood on the river side. 

This is a delightful painting on canvas, well executed by the German artist Richard Mueller Alexander 1850 - 1915.

A beautiful country scene of a family of 7 returning from a field after work, resting by the bank of the river.  The family is seen having a prayer at the riverside facing a church which is seen in a distance across the river, the children looking on, and their grandmother is seen kneeling in devotion before setting back home.  Children in a playful mood on the grass looking on. 

Lovely picture on canvas and a large gilt frame, signed at the bottom right, some minor chips on the frame (see pictures).

The painting should add a delightful attraction to any room.
