ANTIQUE COTTON CHRISTENING PETTICOAT/GOWN. BRODERIE ANGLAIS/LACE TRIM. PINTUCKS. Beautiful baby's christening petticoat or perhaps gown/special occasion dress, which I think is Victorian. It measures 37 inches/ 94cm long. Also suitable for a doll. It has been freshly laundered. The armholes are trimmed with lace, and the hem with a broderie anglaise flounce. The lower skirt is also embellished with rows of pin tucks, and two bands of broderie anglaise. Fastens at the back with 2 cotton covered buttons and a drawstring at the neck and waist.
