Item:233252442523ANTIQUE TWIN FUSEE, BELL STRIKE, 19TH CENTURY BRACKET CLOCK by BROCKBANK & ATKINS, LONDON 19th Century bracket clock with twin fusee movement and lovely sounding strike on an overhead silvered bell. Clock case with brass inlay, brass pineapple finial on top, brass lattice tracery 'windows' on either side, and brass ball feet. Clock face with painted dial, roman numerals and minute marks, and blued steel Breguet 'moon' hands, behind a bevelled glass front door with brass bezel. Movement is twin fusee with anchor escapement, without makers mark; hour striking on the overhead silvered bell, a lovely sound counting out the number of hours. Dimensions: 17" high x 11.5" wide x 7" depth Very good condition, with some small marks commensurate with age. The brass inlay is all there, but just below the clock face the brass inlay has partly come out of the wood; see photo two. It's hardly noticeable and has been like it for years, so I've always left it as it is rather than attempt a repair. The clock runs for a week on a single winding. It is supplied with its brass fusee heart-shape winding key, naturally :) Reducing my clock collection, hence the low price for a twin fusee 19thC clock. Delivery to UK addresses only, by fully insured courier. Collection is welcome from Ealing, West London - payment by BACS or cash if collecting, not PayPal or cheque.
