Papua New Guinea antique Latmul cassowary bone dagger with claws intact. Very fine and detailed engraving. Art of the Ancestors, old  tribal weapon. Primitive artefact of significance and purpose. Holds great ceremonial status and ritualistic symbol. The dagger is very rare unlike many others as its claws are still intact. A very unique collectors piece. Daggers are shaped from the shin bone or the tibiotarsus of the flightless cassowary bird.The dagger is in excellent condition. Early 20th century. Measures 10 inches and width is 2 inches wide at the claw.
