Here is a beautiful Japanese Satsuma pottery vase dating to the early 20th century.
The vase has a traditional cream coloured crackle glaze ground and gilded detailing, hand-painted with vibrant figural motifs among lakes and mountains. It has a rectangular shape, with gilded foo dog handles.
The vase is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or repairs, and commensurate rubbing and wear to the gilding. It has the kiln mark on the base.
It stands 30.5 cm tall, 21 cm wide and 16 cm deep.
