This wonderful 12” diameter antique Japanese mixed metals plate depicts fall foliage and bats swirling around the moon (such an unusual subject matter). The piece is made from a mixture of bronze, shakado, gold, brass, silver and other various beautifully colored alloys. The result is a beautiful piece of art from the Meji era bearing the mark for the Meiji era artist Kowa and sealed in the back HATTORI in an inset gold plaque. The piece maintains its original patina throughout. In wonderful condition. Colors are still beautiful and vibrant. The quality of the work here is stunning. Far better than average, this piece is, and worthy of a place in any collection. This item is a perfect addition to any collection of Asian antiques, especially for those who appreciate the art and history of Japan. Don't miss out on the chance to own this unique and exquisite piece.
