Seller: pagefamily6 (1.072) 100%, Location: Hortonville, Wisconsin, Ships to: US & many other countries, Item: 232618528677 This is an original antique (circa 1900) heavy cast iron Ansonia mantle clock complete with curved glass bezel, porcelain dial marked Ansonia Clock Co. N.Y. U.S.A along the bottom, pendulum, and key. The clock has an aged gold finish that looks a little streaky in areas so it might have been re-painted at some point, but not recently. The finish is in very good condition but has some areas of wear, especially along corners and edges, and has acquired a darkened, aged patina. There are a couple small chips in the porcelain along the edge of the dial, shown close up in the photos. The clock works perfectly and runs between seven and eight days fully wound. It chimes on the hour and half hour and has a nice mellow tone. Nothing appears to be broken or missing from the clock, but there are a couple tiny cracks in the smaller end of the clock key (the end that turns the slow-fast gear) but even though it is cracked, that end of the key still works. The remainder of the clock and all visible components are free of cracks, repairs, or any major damage, and everything is fully functional. There is a service sticker on the inside of the door on the back of the clock from 1985 but no other service records. The clock measures 11 5/8" across the bottom x 4" W (front to back) and 8 5/8" H. It will be packed securely and fully insured during shipping. Condition: Used
