Seller: doogla5 ✉️ (170) 100%, Location: Taunton Somerset, GB, Ships to: GB, Item: 276330617649 RARE GERMAN DOLD0NIA STRIKING WALL CLOCK COMPLETE GOOD WORKING CONDITI0N. This is a rare and entirely original wall mounted case clock, made in Germany, with the Doldonia Trade Mark on the face. This is a striking clock, in  wood, possibly Oak, and glass case. It has a striking chime sequence, and the clock movement is mechanical. The mechanisms are intact and the clock works well and keeps good time. The wood and convex glass front opens giving access to the pendulum (used for time adjustments) and to the clock face for winding the mechanism.  The clock face has the Doldonia trade mark and two key holes, one for the clock and the other for the chimes. The original key, included, winds both mechanisms independantly so that the clock can be used either with or without chiming. There are a few small scratch marks around the winding holes caused by repeated insertion of the key. We are not sure as to the age of the clock but it has been in our possession since the 1940's. Possibly manufactured around 1900-1920.
