Item:152985644894Offered is a very pretty antique French four glass striking mantle clock made by Vincenti et Cie made between about 1865 and 1870. It has a pretty ceramic face with floral swags, a brocot suspension, mercury filled pendulum and a count wheel movement for striking the hours.The clock is in good working order, keeping good time and striking each hour and half hour correctly on a coiled gong. The case and the bevelled glass panels are in good condition, just one very small chip to the top left corner of the rear glass. The ceramic face has tiny chips, hardly noticeable, on the edge at 3 and 6 (see photos). There is no key. The clock will be well packed for shipping which will be at the buyers risk, and note I cannot insure the glass for damage in the post. This clock may require adjustment after transit through the post, please be aware of this before you bid on this item.
