Antique French 8 Day Gilt Metal & Blue Sevres Porcelain Mantle Clock Garniture. This clock set is an absolutely beautiful antique 19thc French gilt metal and blue hand painted sevres porcelain panel mantle clock set with a fantastic case which looks absolutely stunning wherever it is displayed with its original gilt finish to the 3 pieces
The case features a porcelain urn top design with stunning embossed and pierced decorations decorating the whole of it. The case also features superb hand painted porcelain shaped panel to the centre with decorated scene which gives it an awesome display look
The spelter metal case is in great original condition with no damage whatsoever with an original gilt finish to the case, the finish does have some age wear to it but only what you would expect to see of a clock that is 150 years old
The clock is complimented by its original pair of side garnitures with matching original gilt finish and matching sevres blue porcelain panels. The side garnitures are also in excellent condition with no damage and original finish
The clock features a high quality hand painted matching porcelain sevres dial with roman numerals and original hands. The dial is in amazing condition for age with no damage and a absolutely stunning hand painted scene to the centre
The movement is also of high quality being an 8 day bell striking movement which strikes the bell on the half and full hours counting the hours on the hour. The movement is in full working order keeping time and striking when it should with its brass pendulum and new windin key, the movement is signed Japy Freres
The clock measures 16.5 inches high x 9 inches wide x 5.5 Inches deep
The garnitures measure 12.5 inches high x 5.5 inches wide x 3.75 inches deep
