Antique Chinese Rosewood Exquisitely Carved Dragon & Patterned Wooden Box the box does have a piece that is damaged that is likely age related ( can bee seen in the photos)  the dragon has a tusk missing, however I believe that they could have been long whiskers that connected to further down the box.  there are hand carved dragon art works on the base of the lid  and hand carved patterns and dragons along each side of the box  on the inside of the lid there has been a repair next to one of the hinges.  The dragon does also have red eyes that are made from a red stone which is very unusual to see there is a key hole where you once would have been able to lock the box A very rare and unusual antique Chinese wooden box Rosewood/hardwood  Both the base and the lid surfaces have been carved and polished out for a smooth finish.
