Seller: chafferantiques (3.531) 100%, Location: Robertsbridge, Ships to: GB & many other countries, Item: 263575754093 This is an antique Victorian period "Jerome and Co. - Connecticut, USA" American clock having a carved Oak case. The clock has a rectangular Oak case, with Oak side panels in solid Oak. . The clock retains its original "Jerome and Co." movement in brass which strikes on the hour and half hour. The clock comes complete with its original pendulum and pendulum bob- No Key . This , I believe is a six or seven day clock. The door glass has an attractive etched pattern -the clock glass is original. The clock retains its original painted enamel dial with has black Roman numerals. The inside of the back of the clock retains its original label. Date: The clock dates from mid 19th Century. Condition: The clock is working without the pendulum (can’t get it to work with). There is no key (I used a key from another clock to wind it up.) It strikes on the hour and half hour but does need adjusting. The brass surround on the dial has been misshaped./dented. The Glass case door has a crack to the corner. The top panel is slightly loose from the main back panel and needs a more firm attachment- as does the bottom back left base panel that is loose from the base. Overall I am not a clock expert – nevertheless it works but needs a little work to tidy it all up..
