This is for a lovely little Common Prayer book with a sterling silver cover from 1906. The silver has been embossed with an image of the famous Reynolds painting 'The Cherub Choir' with five finely detailed angel faces. It is clearly hallmarked dating it to Birmingham 1906 with the makers initials G & C Ltd for Green & Cadbury Ltd and was printed by Eyre & Spottiswoode. It is in excellent condition, the silver has no dents, splits or damage of any kind and the pages sit flat and still retain their original gilding to the edges. It measures 55mm (2.25") by 45mm (1.75") with 630 pages.
