VERY RARE ANTIQUE KENDRICKS & DAVIS 1901 PATENT ELECTRIC COIL SCIENTIFIC INSTRUMENT IN ORIG WOODEN BOX.
ORIGINAL LABEL.
Up for auction is an early patented 1901 KENDRICK & DAVIS (K&D) ELECTRIC TOY TOP WITH ITS' DOVETAILED WOOD BOX in original condition. The cast iron base has its' original red paint and is in very good condition for being over 100 yrs old. It has some minor paint flakes, light surface scratches, etc.., but no chips, cracks or breaks that I can see. The early motor appears to have its' original windings and turns freely by hand. You are buying this as untested since I cannot test it. It appears to be complete, but PLEASE review the pictures and you be the final judge. Included with this are 2 1/2 cardboard discs , but is intact. The original wood box itself is in very good condition with no cracks or breaks. It is amazing that it has its' original paper label on the front and is very easily read. The unit itself measures approx. 2 1/2" in diameter with an overall height of 3 1/2" to the top of the wood knob. A neat old toy with an early motor! I don't claim to be an expert on these so PLEASE review the photos as they supercede the description and you be the final judge upon its condition. If you need more close-ups we will be happy to oblige. What you see pictured is what you are bidding on. We combine shipments whenever it is safe to do so. Please let us know BEFORE making payment that you plan on bidding on other items. PLEASE ask any questions prior to bidding.
