Item:113220070686An original railway wall clock BR 6475. The timepiece originates from the BR at Devons Road (Bow) circa 1940. Notes inside the clock indicate a small amount of service history and a transfer of ownership (detailed below) The condition is very good, the clock has been packed away and stored for several years, we are selling for a person who's late husband worked as a fitter at Devon's Road 1952-1973. The current owner was allowed to purchase this clock for a sum of £10.00 + £1.00 vat. (invoice is with the clock). Early 1970's a senior engineer (Mr Langton) was in charge of modernization at Devons Road, he was authorised to sell/dispose of surplus goods(ie mechanical clocks) The movement has just undergone a detailed clean and service, it is operating perfectly. The clock case is a rich mahogany, this has retained full colour and is fitted with a brass bezel and original glass.
