Seller: rubyfoxflowers (1.864) 100%, Location: Attleborough, Ships to: GB & many other countries, Item: 352773832127 American wall clock for restoration quite rare.Manufactured in New Haven Connecticut by Chauncey Jerome around 1850.I believe these were not manufactured for very long. The movement is a 8 day double fusee type with bell strike.Heavy solid movement is complete and needs a clean but works. It has a stop wind feature.Found a pendulum bob of the period.Case would not need a lot of restoration.Made of i think white pine with mahogany veneer most of this is not to bad the base has some missing.Main problem is 3 pieces of rippled edging are missing at bottom.Another piece missing is the back.Metal painted dial is quite good and hands are original. The brass glazed bezel was missing but i have found one from same period which just needs a mod to securing tab as this clock would have had a hole in it for pin in side to engage.Brass pendulum apeture edge is good just needs a piece of glass. It measures about 22 inches high 17 inches wide.As these are quite rare it would be a worthwhile project. Condition: For restoration but not needing a large amount of work., Age: Antique, Pre-1900, Material: Brass, Type: Wall Clock, Features: Double Fusee 8day strike, Sub-Type: Rippled, Brand: Chauncey Jerome, Style/ Origin/ Theme: American
