He was the grandson of the founder of John Bartholomew and Son Ltd. From the ‘Historical and Modern Atlas of the British Empire’ by C. Grant Robertson & J.G. Bartholomew and published by Methuen & Co., 36, Essex Street, London, W.C.. Sir Charles Grant Robertson CVO (1869 – 1948) was a British academic historian. He was a Fellow of All Souls College, Oxford, and Vice-chancellor of the University of Birmingham. The map is in very good condition with another map printed on the reverse.
