It starts out as a school boy scrap book of photos and cuttings relating to Eton school in the period 1909-1914. There are very many cuttings, principally relating to sporting events and a number of photos of house groups and sports teams (12 in all, some of which are wonderful). The album covers enlistment and training and a photo entitled 4th Coldstream Guards prior to sailing to France July 1915 all officers named. There several aerial battlefield photos with handwritten notes and photos of troops (including C Reed - 'my servant for 3 years in France'). There is a poem letter from Julie Charles dated Sept 1917 and very many death notices of old boys from the school. There is a telegram summoning Henry to Buckingham palace at the end of the war and photos of victory parades in London and the guards at Buckingham Palace. The album ends with ephemera relating to sporting events up to 1920. I have shown many more photos and commentary on the Ringtails Ephemera Facebook page which can be found here: Please note due to rarity it will be shipped special delivery/internation tracked and signed which given its weight have created quite high shipping costs. 30cm wide Ringtail555 ?
