Here are a pair of Rubian Art pottery vases dating to the 1920s, with a black ground and floral design.
Rubian was the trade name of Grimwades art pottery line which started at least as early as 1907. These vases capture the era of the 1920s very well with an Art Nouveau style floral design and a geometric Art Deco shape.
Both vases are in good condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. There are some signs of age with the gilded rim being worn and some crazing to the surface glaze.
They stand 21 cm tall and are 13 cm in diameter at the widest point.
