Item:114114209995A superb Victorian drop dial timepiece by the famous Liverpool clockmaker James Condliff (circa mid 1800) A beautiful flame mahogany case with twin side doors and lower door, an inlaid and shaped face surround with solid brass bezel, convexed dial and glass, finished with steel spaded hands. The movement is excellent quality, fine wheels, angled/shouldered plates with gut fusee and pendulum. The clock is in full working order. Condition: face has fade/wear to paint, makers name but just readable. The case has retained its rich colour, one peg is missing also the lock to the face door. Overall, a fine early timepiece, in the right hands and with the minimal of restoration it will be a beauty, clock's by this maker are an excellent investment and are present in many quality collections. Measurements are 16 inch wide, drop 25 inch and 7 1/2 inches deep, the face is 12 inch.
