Item:223653650194A rare find, a top quality genuine fusee wall clock by Barraud & Lund of Cornhill, London, numbered 1532. This clock was found in a genuine sleepy condition, the clock has been fully serviced. The dial was ghost written when found, (see photograph of the dial under ultraviolet before restoration), the dial has since been sympathetically restored to a high standard. The dial fully signed, with Roman numerals and complete with its original Breguet hands, original cast brass bezel with silvered sight ring. The original bezel is complete and functional with its key. A top quality feature of this clock is that the dial is fixed to the surround via rebated brass mounts, not the normal screw fixed directly into the wood. The original top quality fusee movement with knopped pillars has been completely overhauled and is in full working order, complete with its original pendulum. The original mahogany case with turned narrow surround is in excellent condition, with both doors and a door to the rear of the back box.
