Seller: timerunner56 (965) 100%, Location: Bournemouth, Dorset, Ships to: GB & many other countries, Item: 293317172278 A Delightful Quality Gilt Bronze & Marble Fusee Mantle Clock A delightful and top quality English ormolu gilt bronze and black marble mantle clock by top maker 'Grant of Fleet St, London' with a nice enamel dial (is chipped, see photos). Both dial and the back of the movement are fully signed with the Grant name etc. The ormolu is dirty but should clean up well. The movement is dirty and not running and there is no pendulum. The movement has however retained its fine fusee chain. The crutch is bent and has been repaired in the past. This is a very early piece perhaps Regency? There were a few 'Grants' in Fleet Street around 1800-1830 but I'm not sure which one made this clock. This is a delightfully small piece measuring 7.5in tall x 5.25in wide x 3in deep. This a wonderful clock of some considerable quality that would, once restored, be worth in excess of £2000/3000. I have priced this mantle clock realistically to reflect the cost of a full restoration. Consequently it is sold as seen, not working for restoration/parts with no guarantee or returns. I also offer free delivery to mainland UK addresses.Happy to answer any questions, either via message or phone ( 07761 432112 ) Terms and ConditionsAll my items are sold for restoration and consequently sold as seen without a guarantee.
