Listing is for a single 9mm 1W NDG7475 520nm laser diode  mounted in a 12mm x 30mm copper module with thermal back half, leads and a two element 520nm coated glass lens. Warning. I have had multiple customers informing me they have received 700mW NDG700 520 diodes from foreign sellers advertised as 1W 520 diodes or 1W 520nm NDG7475(T). Talked with my supplier who confirmed this is going on saying it is a common practice currently. I also looked closely at some of the mentioned listings. The NDG700 700mW diode can be driven to 1W so they are selling them as 1W diodes. This may make it an accurate claim of potential power but confusing to customers. The actual NDG7475 1W 520nm diode can be driven to 1.4W easily with some of the more efficient ones doing 1.6W+ where the NDG700 can not exceed 1W and are less expnesive. The one common thing I notices in all the of these listings was an edited version of the NDG7475 datasheet showing 1.8A as the drive current which is required for the NDG700 700mW diode to hit 1W. The datasheet for the NDG7574 is(and has always shown) 1.7A as the max drive current so if you see max drive current or forward current with 1.8A it is a pretty good bet they are NDG700 being offered. Save yourself the headache of pressing and soldering. Just add heatsink and proper laser driver limiting the current to 2.4A or less. Here is what you get. One 9mm 1W 520nm diode   mounted in a 12mm x 30mm copper module with leads and a two element 520nm coated glass lens . Here is the Pinout for the diode. Ignore the non existent case pin in the diagram.

Diodes are current hungry and as they heat up their internal resistance is lowered causing them to want to draw more current. Don't attempt to connect the diode directly to a fixed voltage source like a battery. You must use a "constant current" laser driver with the current limited to no more than 2.4A.

Here is my testing on this diode Nichia NDG7475 1W 520nm Laser Diode
Exciting day. Finally got my 1W Green diodes and could not wait to do some testing on them.:eg:

This 9mm diode has off center pins.

First thing I did is pop one in a sink and fire it up. Was amazed the brightness of the beam indoors during the day. Really bright.

Then beam specs and divergence seem to be nearly the exact same as the NDB7875 and M140 445nm diodes. This diode with the G-2 has a pretty identical box reflection as the NDB7875 and M140 as well.

So next I decided to put the NDG7475 head to head with the NDB7875 @ 25 Feet they were both about 23mm with a G-2.
So now on to the meat here is the LPM test of the diode. I expected this thing to dim maybe around 2.5A but it just kept going. I decided to end it when I started getting foldback around 3.5A. There really was not much gain from 2.5A up but wanted to see where it dimmed but it never did at least to where I felt it would not blow up as they are kind of pricey. Would not suggest driving past this point. Stay 2.4A or under. There you have it. Whole lot of of Green goodness. Oh and for some dark shots.
