Seller: rivercarp (1.150) 100%, Location: Wokingham, Ships to: GB, Item: 183923522901 A rather nice 19th century French portico 8 day clock, but there is no apparent maker’s name. It has a very attractive Brocot type visible escapement. The body is made from mahogany with aluminium rib inlays. The pillars are finished with brass at either end and it has brass feet. There are one or two very fine scratches on the beveled glass, but you have to look really hard to notice, the porcelain dial has hairline cracks, again you have to look close to see it. It is 43cm tall x 25cm wide x 14cm deep it has a 15cm diameter dial, and weighs 4 KG before packaging It has a pleasant bell strike on the hour and half hour. Good working condition and keeps good time. It comes with 2 keys one to wind it up the other for fine time adjustment via the square drive above the 12 o’clock the coarse time adjustment is via a thumb nut below the pendulum. Either collection from RG414DG, Wokingham, Berks, Or PayPal and I will post for £20.00. On 25-Aug-19 at 11:05:02 BST, seller added the following information: I will refund through paypal the winning bidder any difference to the postage cost of £20, and what it actually costs me to post.
