This much sought after tax exempt 1974 Suzuki GT750L has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours. We have been unable to confirm this mileage reading. Please disregard it. The single most important purchase for a classic restoration project is the bike to restore, whether it's going to be a commercial venture or just a hobby interest it all starts here!. PLEASE CHECKOUT THE PICTURES........As you can see this bike is nearly complete. It has obviously stood a while so the battery is flat, master cylinder isn't working, tank needs flushing out inside. Sadly the paint is non standard, R/h silecer is dented & rear mudguard is cracked. BUT NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS.........The wheels look straight with chrome rims, good hubs & brake plate. Forks & yokes look straight with good chrome. Tail light assy is good as are the headlight & hangers. Instruments & switches look great. Carburetors are free sliding off the twist grip. Exhausts are original & solid. Seat is in good condition throughout. Chain guard is tidy. The engine turns over nicely off the kick starter – sounds/feels great & has compression BUT BEST OF ALL when we hooked it up to a good battery & fed it fresh fuel from a dummy tank it starts revs & runs. The bike is currently unregistered. The registration process is reasonably uncomplicated.

We HAVE NOT got the certificate of title but we will provide proof that VAT & Duty is paid on the NOVA system.

REGISTRATION

1. You need to get the bike MOT’d.

2. You need to prove the year of manufacture in writing. Phone Suzuki UKs customer support on 0500 011959 (press opt 2 & opt 2 again) with the Model type, frame & engine Numbers, they will organize an application for a dating letter – there is a charge for this service.

3. You need to have valid insurance on the bike. You can insure it on the chassis number.

4. Send all this paper work to the DVLA, who will charge you £55 for the 1st registration & the current amount for the road tax.

5. The DVLA will send you your age related registration number.
