This very rare and much sought after tax exempt 1972 BSA B50T 500 Victor Trail has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours. This and the fact it's only showing 1886 miles and has been in dry storage for the last umpteen years have helped maintain its boyish good looks. We have been unable to confirm this mileage reading. Please disregard it. The single most important purchase for a classic restoration project is the bike to restore, whether it's going to be a commercial venture or just a hobby interest it all starts here!. PLEASE CHECKOUT THE PICTURES........You may or maynot know, here at DK Motorcycles we have very little knowledge or experience with these classic British bikes but luckilly you aficionados usually put us rite!?........You can see this bike has got a few bits missing, a few bits damaged/broken, a few bits rusty/corroded, a few bits non standard & a few bits are very nice indeed. The wheels are straight with nice clean chrome rims, good hubs & brake plates. Forks & yokes look straight with good chrome & clean alloy. Headlight & hangers are good. Speedometer looks great. Alloy Fuel tank is squeaky clean inside looks dent free. Seat base is in very good condition throughout. The engine is cosmetically very clean but sadly is seized, hopefully it will be through standing around forever but we have not inspected the engine internally so we have no idea why/how it has seized.

The bike is currently unregistered. The registration process is reasonably uncomplicated.

We HAVE NOT got the American Title (Registration Document) but we will provide proof of NOVA from Customs & Excise to show we have paid VAT & duty, this will be provided with an official V55/5 form for 1st registration application.

REGISTRATION

1. You need to get the bike MOT’d.

2. You need to prove the year of manufacture. Phone North Leicester Motorcycles on 01530 263381 with the frame & engine Numbers, for a small fee they will send you a letter confirming the age.

3. You need to have valid insurance on the bike. You can insure it on the chassis number.

4. Post this to the DVLA who will charge you £55 for the 1st registration & the current amount for the road tax.

5. The DVLA will post you your age related registration number.
