Printed “blue sprays” pattern developed as an elaboration of the floral sprays design of the 1760’s featuring flowers, pinecones, berries & pods. Painted blue border (number 18, shown on p. 56 of Sandon.
Printed hatched crescent mark on back of Worcester Porcelain. This pattern is shown in figures 45-49 of Sandon, Henry, THE ILLUSTRATED GUIDE TO WORCESTER PORCELAIN 1751-1793 (1969). Godden mark # 4314, “Crescent marks, c. 1755-90…the filled in crescent is printed and occurs on blue printed porcelains”.
