Original antique color lithographed 2-panel 1896 map of Normandy and the French Riviera, printed more than 120 years ago. The upper panel depicts Normandy and the French countryside between the Channel Islands and Paris. The lower panel shows the Riviera, from Cette to San Remo, including Arles, Marseilles, Toulon, and Nice, in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region of France. The two maps are printed on a single sheet which measures 18 x 22 cm [7¼" x 8¾"]. A delicate blue wash delineates the water area along the shorelines. The map was engraved by John Bartholomew & Company, Edinburgh, and published by John Walker & Company, London, in 1896. Condition: It is in excellent condition, bright and clean, with a vertical center fold, as issued, and no marks, rips, or tears. Please see the scans and feel free to ask any questions.
