Description: Source unknown, to be determined.

Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Jean Francois Michel Mourot' after own design. Jean Francois Michel Mourot (Metz 1802 - Utrecht 1847) was a French lithographer. From 1827 Mourot works for Desguerrois in Amsterdam. He becomes a famous lithographer, specialising in topographical views, historical events and portraits.

Subject: Antique print, titled: 'J. C. Schotel.' - Portrait of the marine painter Johannes Christiaan Schotel.

Condition: Good, given age. Ample margins, some surface soiling and foxing. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
