10A 300W DC-DC Buck Converter Step-Down 8V-40V to 1.25V-35V with Current Control

Non-isolated step-down CC CV Buck module with on-board red/green LED load indicator Input voltage: DC 7V - 40V Output voltage:DC 1.25V - 35V Output current: 8A continuous, 10A peak (switch current limit, with cooling) Output power: 288W continuous No-load current: ~ 2.1mA Conversion efficiency: ~ 96% Operating temperature: -40°C to +85°C Protections: thermal shutdown/current limit/output short/input over-voltage Dimensions: 65 x 47 x 22mm (L x W x H) On-board LED load indications: red = load present (eg. 'battery charging'), green = no load (eg. 'battery charged' or output disconnected) To adjust module: • The trimmer nearest the voltage input adjusts the output VOLTAGE (CV) • The trimmer nearest the voltage output adjusts the output CURRENT (CC) • Turn trimmers CLOCKWISE to INCREASE, ANTICLOCKWISE to DECREASE Battery charger application - intructions: 1. First determine the float voltage and charging current required by the battery to be charged (the 'target battery'). 2. With the target battery disconnected from the module output, apply a voltage of 7V - 32V to the module input, being sure to observe correct polarity. 3. Using the CV trimmer, adjust the output voltage to about 5V 3. Switch your multimeter into its 10A current scale and measure the module's short-circuit output current. Turn the CC trimmer to adjust the current to the charging current required by target battery. 4. Using the CV trimmer, adjust the module's output voltage to the float voltage required by the target battery. 5. Connect the target battery to the module output, observing correct polarity. Charging of the battery should commence. Constant current LED Driver Application - Instructions: 1. First determine the operating current and maximum operating voltage of the LED you need to drive. 2. With the CV trimmer, adjust the output voltage to about 5V 3. Switch your multimeter into its 10A current scale and measure the module's short-circuit output current. Turn the CC trimmer to adjust the current to the operating current of your LED. 4. Adjust the CV trimmer to make the output voltage reach the maximum LED operating voltage. 5. Connect LED, test. Example applications: • High-power, constant current LED driver • Battery charger • Vehicle-mounted power supply • Low voltage system power supply
