Seller: corsajim (625) 100%, Location: Derby, Ships to: GB, Item: 273956458697 I have for sale a very beautiful, large, and imposing 19th century French arched mantle clock in mahogany wood, with an 8-day springwound chiming movement, chiming on a gong on the hour and half hour. Movement signed Japy Freres. The mahogany arched wood casing is in excellent original condition, having an oval shaped window for viewing the brass pendulum. The black and gold coloured dial with gold coloured hands are all in excellent condition. Above the No.12 is a square pin which finely adjusts the timekeeping. The brass bezel operates well with no major drop, the glass has a couple of minor scratches but does not interfere with viewing the clock face. The Japy Freres 8-day movement is exceptionally clean, has been oiled and balanced, but re-balancing may be needed when setting up by the buyer, quite a simple task. Chiming on both the hour and half hour on a gong. Timekeeping is excellent over a 24 hour test period. The clock comes with its original winding key and fine speed adjustment key. Dimensions are 12 1/2" high by 7 1/4" wide by 6" deep. This really is a stunning and beautiful French mantle clock, and will be a talking point in any type of home. The buyer is more than welcome to collect the clock from my home, otherwise the clock will be well packed in a double walled box and wrapped in thick bubble wrap surrounded in peanut shaped polystyrene. This is a heavy item, and the postage cost reflects this. If you have any questions relating to this item or any of my other items for sale, please contact me on 07758885795. No international buyers.
