Grading
Warlord was produced on poor quality newspaper style paper. Most issues have small tears on the edges of the interior pages as they were easily damaged whilst reading.
These issues are good reading copies (VG/VG+) 4.0 or 4.5 condition or better. This which means they are around 4 to 4.5 out 10 or better on a 10 point grading scale.
All issues are compete and we check all issues for the red-inked centre pages. No free gifts are included and also none of the occational pink centre pullout adverts which adverted other DC Thomson comics.
Newsagent marks - Possible newsagent mark
Some of these issues will have newsagent marks. Around 50% of Warlord issues have newsagent marks.
In the UK, comics and newsapers were reserved (or reserved and delivered) by local newsagent shops and the newsagents wrote the customer's names are sometimes the addresses on the covers. There were often delivered by paper boys and girls. Writing was either in pen or pencil, and occationaly markers or felt tip pens.
