Collection of military-related documents from an Edward Lewis, tobacconist from Stratford. These were found inside a worn old leather wallet amidst a collection of books. Eight pieces of ephemera in all, which are all photographed but include a National Registration Act card from 1915 as well as a Certificate of Exemption from 1916 and other paperwork clearly involved in the exemption process. There is some fraying at edges of papers and some holes where corners meet, but everything is legible and it’s an interesting perspective into part of a person’s life told in paper. Please see all photos to understand condition and collection and any questions, please ask.
