1940s hairstyles were kept neat and tidy with a snood. They were usually hand made and worn alone or with a hat.
This handcrafted snood is perfect for parties, re-enactments and events such as Keelham Hall, Ironbridge, Lytham, Bletchley Park etc.
Crocheted following a pattern printed in a woman’s magazine in 1943 so look is authentic.
I’ve used fine 2 ply yarn in 100% mercerised cotton which gives a nice sheen and shouldn’t stretch out of shape like wool. Handwashable.
One size. Fine hat elastic crocheted in around the edge for fit. I also pin mine for extra security.
Included is a hand tied grosgrain ribbon bow on a hair grip so wear is optional.
This snood is a lovely bright red. Please note that while I try to give a good representation of the colour in the photo it may vary between my iPad and your screen. I don’t accept returns or give refunds on snoods.
Other colours listed separately so please do take a look.
