Up for auction is a very cool vintage Art Deco style acoustic Hawaiian slide guitar.  It has an Art Deco design style with a slot-style headstock, square neck, and pretty much a parlor size body with ladder bracing.  I would describe the body size as being parlor sized or a tad bit larger yet a little bit smaller than a Gibson LG-0 or classical guitar.  It has 18 frets that are individually numbered in the style of many slide guitars.  I would venture a guess of this guitar having been built somewhere between the 1930's and the 1950's.  It has the Art Deco style of that era with the slotted headstock, ladder bracing, painted on "binding", and bolt-on square neck (with large gauge neck heel non-Phillips/standard bolt and 2 smaller gauge bolts at the 17th fret).    The tuners are nice Kluson brand "3-in-a-line" strip tuners with "Kluson MFG Co. Chicago, IL" stamped into them, which appear to be original to the guitar, leading me to believe that this was manufactured in Chicago by a company such as Oahu or Kay.  (Revision: a fellow ebayer told me that this is possibly a Global from the 1930's due to the Kluson tuners.) There are no numbers, words, decals, stamps or brands on the inside, so I'm not sure what make or model this guitars is actually.  I've had no real good luck in researching this guitar, so if you happen to have any knowledge or info about it, please feel free to let me know what it is that I actually have here.  The bridge may have been reglued and bolted, or maybe it was manufactured this way, I'm not sure.  I believe this is all original with the original faux alligator skin (very subtle, you have to get a close look, the photos don't really show it very well) chipboard case.  Another really cool feature is the nut.  It appears to me that the nut is wooden with a metal raised nut piece that can be removed or added to make this guitar able to function as a standard parlor-style or slide guitar.  I've never removed the metal nut, but it definitely can be removed.  This guitar is in really good physical condition in my opinion, which makes it even more difficult to pinpoint what year it was made.  I would almost venture to say that it is close to "new old stock" in condition with just a very little bit of wear around the edges of the body and headstock.  Even the case is in quite nice condition.  Make sure to view all 12 of the photos for condition.  The guitar will arrive in the condition as pictured.  The guitar will be shipped with strings loosened in the case itself.  To be clear, the case itself will be used as the shipping container with padding surrounding the guitar and plenty of tape will be used to keep the case securely shut (9 or more times taped around the case using packing tape that comes off clean without causing damage to the case).  It will be clearly labeled as "fragile".  I have shipped countless guitars around the world (Australia, Germany, Spain, etc) this way without any issues or problems whatsoever.  If you insist on it being boxed, let me know, but it will cost a bit more.-Comes from the smoke-free, dog-free, child-free home of a serious adult collector and musician. -Check out my many other vintage guitars, musical instruments, and collectibles. -I take pride in fast shipping and handling (usually shipped the same day as payment is received). I charge a fixed rate for shipping and HANDLING due to the unpredictable nature of rising shipping rates, balloon rates, varying destinations, packing materials, etc.  All my items are sold "as is" and I do not offer full or partial refunds.  I am not a guitar expert, luthier, or tech.  I do not build, work on, fix, adjust, appraise, or repair guitars/musical instruments.  I leave all that kind of work/duties to the professionals.  I do my very best to describe my items to the very best of my abilities.  Items will arrive in condition as seen in photos provided.  I sincerely apologize for even having to mention all these stipulations, but I feel it needs to be stated thoroughly in this day and age. Thank you very much for you valuable time and interest.  Take care.
