A smashing example of a
WW-I British Home Front
Sweetheart Brooch
for the wife or girlfriend of a
Royal Flying Corps Observer
1912-18
The World War One forerunner of the RAF
The Royal Flying Corps
was created on April 13th 1912,
before combining with the
Royal Naval Air Service
6 years later, on April 1st 1918, to become
The Royal Air Force.
A lovely sweetheart brooch composed
of a miniature RFC Observer's brevet in enamel
affixed to a circular bakelite backplate.
An attractive wee pin-back badge
celebrating & revering an air-crew member
of Britain's First World War Air Arm
