I won't be relisting this one, so if you think you might want it, don't miss out... Beautiful early Century of Progress model by Gibson. Factory Order Number is 1397-4, which according to Spann's Guide to Gibson, is an L-Century batch made in 1934.
These early 1930's Gibsons are great, the sunburst is a little warmer and this one has a beautiful burst on the front and the back. Gorgeous flamed maple that would be the envy of any Les Paul. The L-Century started in 1933 to commemorate the World's Fair, so this 1934 is one of the early ones. Construction is very similar to an L-00, but with maple back and sides, individual tuners, bound back, and the fancy pearloid fingerboard.
This Century has been properly set up and is ready to go after a neck reset and typical Gibson maintenance work to get it playing great. Action is low with proper height saddle. The original Grover G-93 tuners are back on the guitar, but you can see a couple extra screw holes from a set of strip tuners that were on at one time. You can see a couple of short repaired cracks on the back, and one small crack at the very edge of the treble side of the top. Plenty of honest wear and checking, but the finish is all original. The important stuff like the bridge and bridge plate are intact and original. SHIPS FOR FREE IN THE USA in a new, modern hardshell case.
