Rare & beautiful early Washburn ukulele with the original hardshell case. Model 705 is a flamed Koa soprano uke with a golden decal on the front, pin bridge, kite headstock inlay, and celluloid soundhole ring.
Lyon & Healy made some of the best vintage ukuleles under their Washburn brand in Chicago. Build quality approaches Martin levels but with a very different sense of style.
Model number "705" and "Patent Applied For" stamped on the back of the headstock. Minor repair work including repair of a short top crack and a couple of loose braces. The back has a slight undulation in the upper bout. Currently sporting a set of Martin M600 strings and loads of fun to play.
Vintage deluxe Geib hardshell case with red lining included.
