This stunning Victorian miniature copy of "The Book of Common Prayer" is complete with it's original silver slipcase which dates from 1892.  The exquisite narrow solid silver slipcase is of a hammered arts and crafts design and holds the original red morocco leather covered prayer book which has gold gilt lettering and all page edges gold gilt. A magnificent rare piece of Victorian silver. The silver cover is fully hallmarked for London 1892 and has a swing handle link probably for attaching to a chatelaine.  Material: Solid Silver case. Leather covered prayer book. Country of Origin: UK. Hallmark: London. Date for 1892. Size of silver case: approx 9 cms long, 3 cms wide and 1 cm deep.   Weight of silver: 31 grams Book Publisher: Oxford. The University Press. Condition: In very good used antique condition. Silver Case has a few very small dings and some tarnishing. Prayer book is in good condition with the cover being secure but having some wear. Some pages with creased bottom corners.
